Size does matter: The bigger the data set, the better!
A recent posting by Dominic Basulto on Big Think suggests the culture that brought us the metrosexual is back at it – offering us more complex and strange orientations with which to identify. And the newest mashup is the datasexual:
“The datasexual looks a lot like you and me, but what’s different is their preoccupation with personal data. They are relentlessly digital, they obsessively record everything about their personal lives, and they think that data is sexy.”
If the datasexual does indeed exist, I hope they soon adopt the keyboard pants (pictured above) as part of their uniform. These computer chic pants were designed by Erik de Nijs and include an integrated set of speakers, a wireless mouse and a keyboard.
